Google Crash

Over the past few days, I have noticed that Chrome crashes a lot. This happens particularly when I go to Google Images.
The error message in Event view in Windows is as follows

I tried sfc/ scannow to fix the Windows Files but that did not help.

Please help me!!!! I love Chrome!!!!

i started having trouble with the address bar not working correctly a couple of months ago. i would type something in it to do a search and it wouldn't do anything. if what i was typing was anything close to a recent item in the history it would automatically go to that site and i couldn't not choose something from the drop down menu. i actually had to type in googleDOTcom to do any searches. kinda defeats the purpose of having chrome...
so i decided to uninstall & reinstall. my computer completely crashes and reboots every time i start to download it. i even tried to download an offline version and that would crash my computer as well. not sure if it was using firefox or what. i checked my heat of my cpu and its hot but not more than normal. I FLIPPIN LOVE CHROME and wish i could get it to work. i'm not going to attempt to download it for a while to see how my computer does w/out it. can't wait to get it back on.

ps. @tanesh - why don't you have xp sp3? i've heard around town its an important one to get now days
