Taskbar hidden behind Google Chrome
I have been using Google Chrome with Windows 7 for some time with no issues, but the other day when I opened it up I found the Windows Taskbar is permanently hidden behind it. It never occurs with any other program, just with Chrome.

You can try to auto-hide the taskbar, but I want the taskbar visible at all times. It is very frustrating because once Chrome is open you either have to get back to the desktop or press the 'windows' button to be able to navigate other windows.

All the suggested solutions I've seen on similar threads (F11 key, enable then disable auto-hide, etc) do not work. Can someone please fix this bug so that I can see the taskbar at all times when using Chrome, or I will be changing browser.

PS. It is definitely a Chrome problem not a taskbar problem because it only ever occurs with Chrome, no other programs.

Try the following:

1. Right click on your task bar and start Task Manager
2. Select Processes tab
3. Select explorer.exe and click End Process.
4. Still in Task Manager, click File from the top menu and select New Task(Run).
5. Type in explorer.exe, click OK

I tried this and it doesn't work. I have my taskbar on auto hide and when i move my mouse down to make it pop up it won't come up over chrome. I am using Windows 7. It just started a little while ago. It started before and I did something and it fixed it but I can't remember how to fix it again.
